Koen Matsuri (Park Festival)
Many events, such as a character show, hiking, tea parties and concerts are held at the beginning of November.

Ogita Bo No Te (Prefectural Intangible Cultural Asset)
Bo No Te, dedicated to the Ogita Shrine in early October, is a realistic demonstration of fighting in Samurai style. It is performed by Genji Tenryu School of Martial Arts.

Kasugai Matsuri (Kasugai Festival)
Because of a shopping plaza, local performing arts, and a parade, there is a large turn out at this festival. The Tofu-Heiancho Procession is the highlight of this festival.

Shokubutu-en Matsuri (Botanic Festival)
Various events, such as distribution of various flowering plants, an exhibition of indoor "mini-gardens", a plant bazaar and photo exhibit are held from the end of April to the beginning of May.

Akiba Shrine Fire Walking Ceremony
Ascetics and believers can walk over burning embers without injury. Visitors are moved by the solemnity of the occasion. Held in the middle of December.

Noryo Matsuri (Summer Festival)
An elaborate fireworks display and Bon dancing are held at Ochiai Park on the last Saturday and Sunday of July.

Haniwa Matsuri (Haniwa Festival)
In early November Haniwa images are made by citizens which are then fired through primitive techniques, a music festival is also featured.

Yagai Daikigo Taikai (Outdoor Giant Calligraphy Contest)
November 3rd on the banks of the Shonai River a grand Calligraphy contest is held. Participants enjoy writing Calligraphy on a sheet of paper over 100 meters long.
